Additionally, responsible to provide support to the Ministry of Energy (Power Division) in monitoring, coordination relating to DISCOs, Transmission & System Operations, Market Operations, Generation and PITC on policy, technical, performance monitoring in areas, such as technical advisory & executive support in tariff, assistance in execution of Boards’ orientation programs, capacity building of the said sectoral entities, consolidated reporting for High-Level Sectoral outlook, assist in tariff design on national level and subsidies, billing design, facilitation in the development / amendment of HSEQ policy, facilitation of economical funding for the sector, assistance to DISCOs on the regulatory & policy forums, restructuring / bifurcation of network and supply business of distribution sector as envisaged in Regulation of Generation, Transmission and Distribution Act, 1997, climate financing, including leveraging carbon emission benefits from renewable energy transitions, develop strategy to enhance regional energy connectivity and review CASA project impacts, create models for private investment in transmission sector, review of PC-l documents submitted by power sector entities for approval (to replace the function presently performed by the office of Chief Engineering Advisor under the Ministry of Water Resources), performance Contract Management & Monitoring of Power Sector entities, coordination of external audit compliance of directives of PAC/DAC and support for privatization of power sector entities.
